The Fish King and a Silicon Valley Dropout organize Skydiving Expeditions

Arne Aarhus - affectionately known as “The Fish King” - exported €30 million worth of fish, largely from Iceland. He has been trading Icelandic salmon since 2002, owns a real estate company in Iceland, and serves as CEO of Pesca Consulting.

Tommy Papatango worked 10 years in Silicon Valley, California as a Software Engineer. He joined Apple Inc. in 2007 after graduating (M.S. EE) from Stanford University. In 2011, Papatango moved to Fitbit Inc.; then a startup employing less than 50 people. He is an independant consultant since 2017.

Icehopp Skydiving Adventures, LLC

Sharing a passion for extreme sports and love for traveling, Arne and Papatango met up during an African expedition in 2019. The two decided to combine their skills and get-it-done attitudes to organize high-level adventure trips.

Icehopp invites qualified licensed skydivers on a 7-day expedition around Iceland. Participants land and stay in a different location each night and spend their days admiring the stark nature of Iceland from above.

To put on an event like Icehopp, risk management and event planning must be of the highest level. This is necessary to safely move a group of approximately 100 participants + staff between destinations, whilst skydiving into Iceland’s bucket list sites.

Icehopp is supported by high profile brands in the skydiving indurstry. The list includes Vigil AAD, Aerodyne, Fluid Wings, LB Altimeters and Cookie Helmets.

Our aviation partner in Iceland is Norlandair.
